About Me:
Aloha,
I am Amy Allen, Navy Wife and mother of two boys. Three years ago, I weighed almost 300 lbs. I am not finished with my personal journey to health and wellness, but I have come a very long way. Not only have I lost over 100 lbs, I have completed four half-marathons, a 100 mile cycling Century, and a Sprint Triathlon. Over the last few years, I have met some great people who have inspired me and allowed me to inspire them. Through my own personal journey I found that I was acquiring significant skill and knowledge in the field of physical fitness, strength training, diet, and nutrition. About a year ago, I became a certified personal trainer. Since then, I have had the pleasure to share what I have learned with others. Some of my clients have lost upwards of 100 lbs themselves, but more importantly they have regained faith in their own capability. I have been privileged to witness them succeed where they thought they would fail, keep going when they thought they would stop, and conquer demons which have been haunting them for years.
I really enjoy strength training and it is the core of most my programs. I also use a variety of cardio techniques like running, walking, and biking, as well as R.I.P.P.E.D programs, boxing, etc. I enjoy adding variety with each workout. I give each client my full attention, programs are individualized to their specific needs and goals. I celebrate each accomplishment and continually reassess goals to keep to the client?s journey to the final goal in mind.
I specialize in fitness training for the obese. Starting slow and working within my client?s physical limitations is my specialty. I enjoy watching my clients grow and become stronger. I keep a detailed log of each client?s performance, something I started on myself years ago. I love seeing the look on their face when I show them how far they have come. I have clients who couldn?t walk a few hundred yards on their first visit who now run a mile as soon as they get here as their warm-up. Their success is my success. Every personal best is celebrated.
I normally work out of my house in Ewa Beach, Hawaii, where I have a pretty fabulous home gym, but it is Hawaii, so outside work is frequently on the docket. I have the capability to travel to my clients and have conducted sessions at beaches, parks, pools, and gyms all over Oahu. 
Additionally, I am a certified in Fitness and Sports Nutrition. Eating properly allows your body to be at its best. I have helped several of my clients make clever swaps with the ingredients in their favorite meals so they have greater success. I often accompany my clients to their favorite grocery store to show them that eating healthy doesn?t have to be a budget buster.
